Begin in Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and diverse wildlife. Continue to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, where the enclosed crater ecosystem offers excellent opportunities to encounter lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, hyenas and other wildlife. Finish your journey at Lake Manyara National Park, a compact but diverse park known for groundwater forests, birdlife, elephants and tree-climbing lions.

Day By Day

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha. After a safari briefing, drive toward Tarangire National Park.

Enter the park and begin your first game drive through its beautiful savannah landscapes. Tarangire is particularly famous for elephants, baobab trees and wildlife concentrated around the Tarangire River and other water sources.

Keep your camera ready for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas and potentially lions and other predators.

Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing your afternoon game drive.

Day 2: Tarangire – Ngorongoro Highlands

Enjoy breakfast before departing toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The journey takes you through scenic countryside and the highlands of northern Tanzania. Depending on your itinerary and timing, you may enjoy a cultural stop or visit a local community.

Continue toward Karatu, where you’ll spend the evening relaxing at your lodge before your exciting Ngorongoro Crater experience the following day.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Full-Day Safari

After an early breakfast, descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive.

The crater is a spectacular natural wildlife sanctuary and one of Tanzania’s most iconic safari destinations. Its enclosed ecosystem supports an impressive variety of animals and provides excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated location before continuing your crater exploration.

Later in the afternoon, ascend from the crater and return to your accommodation.

Day 4: Karatu – Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive.

Although relatively compact, Lake Manyara offers remarkable ecological diversity, from groundwater forests to the lake and Rift Valley escarpment. The park is particularly known for its birdlife and tree-climbing lions.

During your game drive, look for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, baboons, hippos and a variety of birds.

Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing your afternoon exploration.

In the late afternoon, leave the park and return to your lodge.

Day 5: Lake Manyara Area – Arusha

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before beginning your journey back to Arusha.

Depending on your departure schedule, you can enjoy an optional cultural experience, local market visit or simply relax before your transfer.

Arrive in Arusha in the afternoon, marking the end of your 5-Day Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater & Lake Manyara Safari.
